Morelia viridis

The green tree python also known as 'GTP' or 'chondro', is the true 'super model' of the Aussie snake world. Look but don't touch!! The alternative name 'Chondro' is derived from the genus name Chondropython, which until the 1980s was universally applied to this species. Whilst Condros don't tolerate as much handling as some other species, most individuals improve over time. Green tree pythons are fairly high maintenance animals and definitely not for the beginner - particularly with regards to hatchlings.
